Matthew Christian

I’m Matthew Christian, author of horror fiction that will keep you up at night and leave you thinking about what it is to be human.

I write a variety of fiction including body and psychological horror, but also dabble in other genres, specifically classic fantasy with a twist and a touch of slice-of-life fiction based on experiences of being a father, husband, and adult.

Outside of writing I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and playing video games. Some of my favorite books include Desperation by Stephen King, Masters of Doom by David Kushner, and many works of Harlan Ellison (particularly I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream and Jefty Is Five). Some of my favorite video games include Alan Wake, Silent Hill 2, and Doom.

Matthew Christian is a new author of horror and fantasy hailing from the cheese-lands of Wisconsin. His work blends modern themes of adulthood, parenting, and relationships with scenarios of dark horror and classic fantasy. Matt lives in Wisconsin with his wife, their daughter, and their two pets – a rescue dog, Finn, and a cat, Taylor.
